FRESNO COUNTY, CA — The Central Valley Young Republicans stand firmly behind U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Border Patrol, law enforcement, and the Trump Administration’s immigration and border policies following the justified use of force by an ICE officer in the incident involving Renee Good.
Let us be clear: the ICE officer acted lawfully and appropriately. Federal agents have both the right and the obligation to defend themselves while carrying out their duties. Attempts to portray this incident as misconduct are deliberate efforts to misinform the public, pushed by woke activist media, radical far-left organizations, and toxic Democratic political leadership that have spent years flooding the homeland with foreign criminals.
Any attack, threat, or attempted violence against ICE agents or Border Patrol officers must be treated as an act of domestic terrorism. These men and women are sworn federal law enforcement officers of the United States — not political punching bags for the radical left, which is now the modern Democratic Party.
The facts are undeniable:
Death threats against ICE agents have increased by over 8,000%
Assaults against ICE officers have risen by more than 1,300%
This surge in violence did not happen organically. It is the direct result of radical Democratic leaders, Antifa-aligned groups, and the “woke” activist class repeatedly branding ICE and Border Patrol as “Nazis,” “fascists,” and the “modern-day Gestapo.”
This campaign of deceit has manufactured false narratives about ICE and Border Patrol, placing a target on the backs of law enforcement officers and their families. These are not policy disagreements — they are calculated efforts to delegitimize law enforcement and incite hostility against those sworn to protect the public.
We unequivocally condemn the rioters and extremist groups attempting to burn down cities across the United States, using so-called “protests” as cover for violence and destruction — the same tactics used during the George Floyd riots that devastated neighborhoods, destroyed small businesses, and left lasting damage in their wake. Let’s be clear: these are not protests. These are riots.
The Central Valley Young Republicans proudly stand with:
ICE officers enforcing federal immigration law
U.S. Border Patrol agents defending our nation’s borders
President Donald J. Trump and his administration’s electoral mandate, as they restore law, order, and national sovereignty through strong border enforcement and mass deportation efforts
If Democratic leaders were serious about public safety, the solution is obvious:
End sanctuary cities and sanctuary states
Allow local law enforcement to fully cooperate with the federal government
Deport dangerous illegal aliens — not shield them
Sanctuary policies do not protect immigrants. They protect criminals, undermine the rule of law, and place American citizens, legal immigrants, and law enforcement officers at risk.
The Central Valley Young Republicans will not apologize for defending the rule of law. We will not back down from supporting those who wear the badge. And we will not allow radical activists, Democrats, the Left, or dishonest political leaders to intimidate our nation into surrendering its borders or abandoning its officers.
You cannot have a strong country without strong borders. ICE is not the enemy. Border Patrol is not the enemy. Chaos — and the lack of care or respect for law and order — is.
